Meet Our Founder

Hassan Abdalla is a renowned financier with over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He holds several leadership roles as the board member of the London Stock Exchange “London Africa Advisory Group – LAAG”, Chairman of UBAF Hong Kong, member of the General Assembly of Misr Insurance Holding Company, and board member of ITIDA “Information Technology Industry Development Agency”.

Abdalla formerly served as the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of the Arab African International Bank of Egypt from 2002 till 2018 before establishing Panther Associates. He held several positions as a board member of the Central Bank of Egypt, the Egyptian Stock Exchange, Telecom Egypt, Orascom Construction Industries (OCI), Ghabbour Auto (GA), the Coca –Cola Bottling Company of Egypt, the Arab Business Council of World Economic Forum, the Institute of International Finance (IIF) and the IIF Emerging Markets Advisory Council in Washington DC, UBAF Paris, and UBAF Curacao as well as a board member of Endeavour Egypt where he also served as a Treasurer. Abdalla was also the Chairman of the Middle East, Far East and Africa regional committee of the International Capital Association in Zurich (ICMA).

Abdalla founded many of the organizations that shape the ﬁnancial services industry in Egypt; he was one of the founding members of the Egyptian National Competitive Council (ENCC), the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB), Chairman of the Arab African Investment Management Company “AAIM”, board member of Sandah for Microﬁnance, Vice Chairman of the German-‐Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce and a member of the board of trustees of the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI).
His philanthropic work is constantly expanding; Abdalla is the founder and chairman of the board of trustees at the “We Owe it to Egypt” foundation, he is also a board member of the Arab educational information network “Shamaa Foundation”.

Abdalla serves as a Professor of Finance at the American University in Cairo, where he obtained his BA & MA. He holds several positions in the educational ﬁeld; as a member on the Strategy Advisory Board of the School of Business at the American University in Cairo, as well as a board member of the ESLSCA Business School of Egypt.
